Definitely a little overlap with my favorites. I would also include:

Song For Leigh - The Walkmen - Heaven
Edward The Confessor - Breton - Other People's Problems
I'm Writing A Novel - Father John Misty - Fear Fun
Morning Sheets - Patrick Watson - Adventures In Your Own Backyard
Sleepover - Hospitality - Hospitality
Would That Not Be Nice - Divine Fits - A Thing Called Divine Fits
Brazos - Matthew E. White - Big Inner

Give'em a listen! (You'll find some of these, or other songs by them, in my Of Note In 2012 list on Spotify).

Cheers & here's to more great music in 2013!

I thought I'd finished with this puppy in mid-January but then got my first listen to Psychedelic Pill, the captivating album Neil Young & Crazy Horse released last November.

I decided that Psychedelic Pill must be represented in this playlist, but its best two tracks - "Walk Like A Giant" and "Ramada Inn" - are both over 16 minutes long.

"Twisted Road" is only 3:29, has plenty of its own charm, and represents the album well. The third Jimmy Cliff track bit the dust.
